Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 25 April 2026

1. Who you are contracting with

These terms are a contract between you and Elm Grove Ecommerce, trading as Personal CFO ("Personal CFO", "we", "us"). They govern your use of the website at personalcfo.money and the related Personal CFO application (the "Service").

2. Acceptance

By creating an account, signing in, or otherwise using the Service you agree to these terms. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organisation you confirm you have authority to bind it. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

3. The Service & not financial advice

Personal CFO is an analytical tool that helps you organise the financial figures you enter and produces ratio-based observations and quarterly audit snapshots. It does not constitute financial, investment, tax, or legal advice, and is not a recommendation to buy or sell any financial product. You are responsible for your own decisions and should seek qualified professional advice where appropriate.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service unlawfully, fraudulently, or for spam.
  • Infringe any intellectual property or other rights.
  • Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Service, introduce malware, or attempt to disrupt or scrape it.
  • Resell, sublicense, or redistribute the Service or attempt to reverse engineer it.
  • Share account credentials or impersonate another person.

You must provide accurate information when registering and keep your credentials confidential. You are responsible for activity under your account.

5. Intellectual property

The Service, including its software, design, branding, copy, and documentation, is owned by Elm Grove Ecommerce and protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service in accordance with your subscription. The financial data you enter remains yours; you grant us a limited licence to host and process it solely to provide the Service.

6. Payments, subscriptions & Paddle as Merchant of Record

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. Payment, billing, taxes, currency, invoicing, renewals, cancellations and refunds are governed by Paddle's Checkout Buyer Terms.

Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period at the then- current price unless cancelled. You can cancel at any time from your account; access to paid features continues until the end of the current billing period. See our Refund Policy for refund details.

7. Service availability

We work to keep the Service available and accurate but do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that calculations will be free from defects. To the fullest extent permitted by law we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.

8. Suspension & termination

We may suspend or terminate access to the Service if you materially breach these terms, fail to pay, present a security or fraud risk, or repeatedly violate our acceptable use rules. You may stop using the Service at any time by cancelling your subscription and deleting your account. On termination your data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Notice, subject to any retention period required by law.

9. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to the fees you paid us (via Paddle) in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including loss of profit, data, or goodwill. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law (such as for fraud, death, or personal injury caused by negligence).

10. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify us against claims arising from your unlawful use of the Service, your violation of these terms, or content you submit.

11. Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified by email or in-app notice. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute, save where mandatory local consumer law provides otherwise.
